Government Shutdown

The impact of the recent federal government shutdown is currently not known.

According to the National CACFP Association on November 5, 2025, the NCA has confirmed with the USDA that funds were released to state agencies to cover all reimbursement and cash-in-lieu (for centers) for meals served in October and November

Day Care Resources and its staff will keep you informed on how your CACFP participation is impacted.

For more information contact your elected federal representative which you can find here and here.

Help support families affected by the shutdown! If a family's income decreases (ex. loss of a job, etc.), your site may be able to receive higher reimbursement rates for those children. This can help boost your site's ability to provide nutritious meals and snacks and better support families in need. View the rates below to see if families qualify. Day Care Centers can print a new Household Income Application in KidKare. Day care homes should contact the DCR office for income applications.
