Be Ready for Your Next Visit!
The USDA, the Illinois State Board of Education, or Day Care Resouces could make an unannounced monitoring visit at ANY time!
Be ready for your next visit from DCR, ISBE and/or USDA monitor(s). Make sure:
- your records are up-to-date,
- all children are enrolled,
- to notify DCR if you are serving a meal/snack off site (ex. field trip),
- to ask for ID for any unfamiliar monitors. Click on "view" for a list of ISBE monitors.
Email issues Friday 8/11 - Monday 8/14/23
Any providers who sent emails to Day Care Resources from Friday 8/11/23 at 4 pm through Monday 8/14/23 at 9:45 am should RE-SEND those emails. Our email service was temporarily turned off as a precaution during this time. If you sent emails over the weekend, please send them again.
One of DCR’s inactive accounts was spoofed on Friday 8/11/23 around noon. If you received an email from kareng@dcrhome.org, please delete it. Upon investigation, our IT department found the email did NOT contain any malicious code or content.
As always, please do NOT open any emails that look suspicious and/or click on any unsolicited links.

Mark "School Out" On "No School" Days!
When school age kids are present (due to teacher inservices, summer, snow days, winter breaks, etc.), make sure to mark school out! This helps make sure you get credit for any AM snacks and lunches you feed school age kids when they would normally be in school.Check Your Milk %
Kids ages 2+ must be served 1% (low fat) OR 0% (fat free/skim) milk.
One year olds must be served whole (3%) milk.

What to do if there's a shortage
In the United States, infant formula is required to have 29 nutrients babies need. The recipe is very strict to make sure baby gets exactly what they need: not too much or too little!
To make sure your infant formula counts on the Child and Adult Care Food Program, it must:
