Butterfly Napkins & Flower Plates
Materials:
- Large paper napkins
- Wooden clothespins
- Markers or paint
- Paper plates (colored paper plates, such as yellow, work well)
- Scissors
Directions:
- The clothespins can double as place cards.
- If desired, paint the clothespins and/or write children's names on them with markers.
- Gather a napkin across the center to make "butterfly wings."
- Clip the center with a clothespin to hold the wings in place - and to form a body.
- Use scissors to scallop the edges of a paper plate to make a "flower."
- (You can also cut triangles on the edges of a paper plate to make a "sun."
- Place each child's butterfly napkin on a "flower" or a "sun!"
- Use the napkins and plates for a super fun lunch or snack!
