Castle Windows

Materials:

  1. black construction paper
  2. scissors
  3. waxed paper
  4. glue
  5. tissue paper
  6. hole punch
  7. ribbon

Directions:

  1. First make a frame for the "castle window."
  2. For young children, cut a square frame out of black construction paper.
  3. Older children can fold the paper and cut out shapes (like making a "snowflake.")
  4. Cut a piece of waxed paper to fit inside the frame.
  5. Glue 1-inch squares of tissue paper to the waxed paper.
  6. Trim any tissues that extend over the edge of the waxed paper.
  7. Glue (or tape) the waxed paper to the frame.
  8. Use a hole punch to punch a hole along the center of the top edge of the frame.
  9. String a ribbon through the hole. Hang your "castle window!"
