Castle Windows
Materials:
- black construction paper
- scissors
- waxed paper
- glue
- tissue paper
- hole punch
- ribbon
Directions:
- First make a frame for the "castle window."
- For young children, cut a square frame out of black construction paper.
- Older children can fold the paper and cut out shapes (like making a "snowflake.")
- Cut a piece of waxed paper to fit inside the frame.
- Glue 1-inch squares of tissue paper to the waxed paper.
- Trim any tissues that extend over the edge of the waxed paper.
- Glue (or tape) the waxed paper to the frame.
- Use a hole punch to punch a hole along the center of the top edge of the frame.
- String a ribbon through the hole. Hang your "castle window!"
