Cooking Up Play Dough!

Materials:

1. 1 cup all purpose flour
2. 1 cup water
3. 1/2 cup salt
4. 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
5. 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
6. food coloring (or cake decorating paste)
7. airtight container, such as frosting or sour cream tubs

Directions:

1. Mix flour, water, salt, oil, and cream of tartar in a saucepan.
2. Cook over medium heat until it holds together.
3. Make sure to keep mixing to keep it from sticking!
4. Remove from heat.
5. When the dough is cool enough to touch, place dough on a floured surface.
6. Add food coloring. Knead to mix in the color.
7. Store in an airtight container, such as an old sour cream container or frosting tub.
