Costume Trunk Exchange Game

Materials:

1. laundry basket or costume trunk
2. old costumes

Directions:

1. Place the costumes in a laundry basket or costume trunk.
2. Place the laundry basket or trunk on one side of a room or yard.
3. Line the children up on the other side of the room or yard.
4. Have one child run to the costume trunk and put on a costume.
5. The player runs back to the line, takes off the costume and gives it to the next player.
6. That player puts on the costume and runs to the costume trunk.
7. The player places the costume back in the trunk and then dresses up in a new costume.
8. For toddlers or young children, an older player should help him/her dress and hold hands while running to the costume trunk and back.
9. Play continues until all of the children have had at least one turn.
