Eggshell Planter

Materials:

  1. 5-6 inch strip of card stock
  2. markers, stickers, or paint
  3. tape or glue
  4. clean eggshell halves
  5. potting soil
  6. grass or herb seeds, such as chives
  7. black marker (optional)

Directions:

  1. Decorate the strip of card stock with markers, stickers or paint
  2. Tape or glue the ends together to make a ring.
  3. Use a small spoon to fill an eggshell with potting soil.
  4. Add seeds.
  5. Cover seeds with soil.
  6. Place the eggshell in the card stock holder.
  7. If desired, draw a face on the eggshell with a black marker.
  8. Carefully water with a teaspoon when needed.
  9. Watch the seeds sprout! When seedlings grow large enough, give them "haircuts" with scissors or transplant into a larger container or garden.
