Melted Crayons
Materials:
- broken crayon pieces
- muffin tin (a heart shaped muffin tin works well)
- cookie sheet
- scrap paper
- scissors (optional)
- colored card stock (optional)
- marker or crayons (optional)
- double-sided foam mounting tape (optional)
Directions:
- Heat oven to 250 degrees.
- Fill muffin tins with broken crayon pieces.
- Place on the muffin tin on a cookie sheet to catch any drips.
- Bake until the crayons melt, about 10-15 minutes.
- Remove from oven and let cool.
- When cool, remove crayons from molds.
- Smooth any rough edges by rubbing them on a piece of scrap paper.
- To make a valentine, cut a shape out of a piece of card stock.
- Use the foam mounting tape to tape the crayon onto the valentine.
- Write a fun message such as "You make my heart melt."
- Another possible slogan is "You color my world."
