Paper Bag Wreath
Materials:
- 1 brown paper shopping bag for each wreath
- orange, brown, and red construction paper
- markers
- scissors
- stapler with staples
- craft glue
Directions:
- Cut the ragged top off the paper bag.
- Cut down one side of the bag from top to bottom.
- Holding the bag upright, cut from left to right to make three 3 inch strips (see template).
- Crinkle each strip so that it looks like a rope.
- Help the children braid the three strips together into a braided rope.
- Staple the end of the rope together to form a circle.
- Use construction paper to make cutouts to decorate the wreath.
- Use scissors to cut out the decorations.
- Glue in place over the stapled area to decorate the wreath.
