Pocket Matching

Materials:

1. Gift wrap or fabric in 4-6 different patterns or colors
2. scissors
3. posterboard or file folder
4. glue
5. clear contact paper
6. utility knife
7. small index cards
8. stapler
9. envelope or plastic bag

Directions:

1. Cut a pocket from each piece of gift wrap.
2. Glue the pockets to the posterboard or a file folder, leaving the top of each pocket open.
3. Cover the posterboard or file folder with clear contact paper.
4. Slit open the top of each pocekt with a utility knife (adults only!)
5. Cut gift-wrap "handkerchiefs" out of gift wrap.
6. Glue "handkerchiefs" to index cards.
7. Cover "handkerchiefs" with clear contact paper.
8. Let children match the handkerchiefs to the pockets.
9. Staple an envelope or plastic bag to the posterboard (or file folder).
10. To store, place "handkerchiefs" in the envelope or bag.
