Potato Stamps

Materials:

1. Large Potatoes
2. Blunt pencil
3. Plastic spoon
4. Sharp knife (for adult use)
5. Tempra paints
6. Paper
7. Paintbrush

Directions:

1. Have an adult cut a large potato in half.
2. Dry off the cut parts.
3. With a pencil poke a shape or design. You can also use a plastic spoon to carve out a shape.
4. After carving, dry off the potato again.
5. Apply paint to the potato stamp and press onto paper. Repeat.
6. Mount the finished art to a piece of construction paper and display.
