Spring Flowers

Materials:

1. Coffee filter
2. Washable markers
3. Squirt bottle or small glass of water
4. Green pipe-cleaners

Directions:

1. Flatten out a coffee filter on a plate.
2. Color the filter with washable markers.
3. Use a squirt bottle to spray the coffee filter 2 or 3 times.
4. SquiWatch the water wick the colors over the filter (this takes 4 or 5 minutes).
5. Let the coffee filter dry (this will take 30 minutes or so).
6. Cut 2 or 3 inches off your pipecleaner. Set this short piece aside.
7. Poke the end of the pipecleaner through the center of the coffee filter.
8. Roll about an inch of the pipecleaner end into a tight ball so the coffee filter won't fall off the pipecleaner.
9. Bundle the coffee filter around the balled-up end of the pipe cleaner.
10. Wrap the short piece you cut off earlier around the bottom of the flower to hold the flower shape.
