Squirrels' Acorn Hunt

Materials:

1. White card stock
2. Scissors
3. Crayons (optional)
4. Small plastic bucket or bowl (optional)
5. Squirrel stuffed animal (optional)

Directions:

1. Print the acorn template onto white card stock.
2. If you want, have each child color an acorn.
3. Cut out the acorns.
4. Hide the acorns around the room. For young children, make sure to hide the acorns in plain sight.
5. Tell the children that Mr. Squirrel lost his acorns and they need to help him find them.
6. Have the children find the acorns.
7. Give lots of praise as the acorns are found.
8. Optional: If you have a squirrel stuffed animal, show him to the children and tell them he has lost his acorns.
9. Collect acorns in a small plastic bucket or bowl.
