Valentine Critter

Materials:

1. Red and pink construction paper
2. Scissors (adult use)
3. Pipe cleaners
4. Googly eyes
5. Glue sticks
6. Stapler

Directions:

1. Fold a piece of pink construction paper in half.
2. Cut out half the shape of a heart, so that it is a symmetrical heart when unfolded.
3. Fold a piece of red construction paper in half, then in half again.
4. Cut out half the shape of a heart, so that it is two identical hearts when unfolded for the mouse's ears.
5. From the red scraps, cut out a tiny heart to be the mouse's nose.
6. Glue the red ears onto the pink face.
7. Set out three pipe cleaners and twist them together at the center.
8. Use the stapler to attach the whiskers on the tip of the heart shaped face.
9. Glue the red nose over the whiskers.
10. Glue on googly eyes.
