Watermelon Maracas

Materials:

1. One paper plate per child
2. Dried watermelon seeds
3. Stapler
4. Paint, markers, or crayons
5. Glue for extra seeds

Directions:

1. Celebrate National Watermelon Day (August 3rd) with this craft!
2. Fold paper plate in half.
3. Add seeds to the center of the fold.
4. Staple completely around rim of plate.
5. Decorate the maracas with crayons, markers, paint and any remaining watermelon seeds.
6. Shake and have fun!
