BBQ Baked Beans
Makes:
about 3 cups.
1/3 cup "BBQ Baked Beans" counts as 1/4 cup vegetable.
Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup onion, chopped
- 1/4 cup green pepper, chopped
- 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 1 (16 ounce) can pork & beans
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Cook onion, green pepper, and oil in a skillet until soft, about 3 minutes.
- Add tomato sauce and brown sugar. Remove from heat.
- Spray a 1-quart baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
- Spread pork and beans in the bottom of the dish.
- Pour sauce evenly over beans.
- Bake uncovered for 30 minutes.
Serve:
1/4 cup to each 1-2 year old for lunch or dinner.
1/3 cup to each 3-5 year old for lunch or dinner.
1/2 cup to each 6-12 year old for lunch or dinner.
