Berry Snack Mix (WG)

Ingredients (homes):
- 4 cups (at least 3 ounces by weight) CACFP-approved cereal, whole grain-rich, with 6 grams or less added sugar in 1 ounce cereal, such as Berry Kix, Blueberry Chex, or Strawberry Chex.
- 2 cups (at least 5 ounces by weight) whole grain-rich grahams, such as Scooby Doo Grahams, Teddy Grahams, or Gerber Grahams
- 4 cups dried fruit, such as dried bananas, freeze-dried strawberries, dried blueberries, dried cherries, or raisins
Ingredients (centers):
- 1 gallon + 2 quarts (at least 18 ounces by weight) CACFP-approved cereal, with 6 grams or less added sugar in 1 ounce cereal, such as Berry Kix, Blueberry Chex, or Strawberry Chex
- 3 quarts (at least 30 ounces by weight) whole grain-rich grahams, such as Scooby Doo Grahams, Teddy Grahams, or Gerber Grahams
- 1 gallon 2 quarts dried fruit, such as dried bananas, dried blueberries, dried cherries, or raisins
Directions:
- Mix all ingredients together.
Serve:
2/3 cup counts as 1/2 oz. eq. whole grain + 1/2 cup fruit for ages 1-5 at snack.
1 1/4 cups counts as 1 oz. eq. whole grain + 3/4 cup fruit for ages 6+ at snack.
1/4 cup dried fruit counts as 1/2 cup fruit on the USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP).
