Cherry Bomb Yogurt Pops

Ingredients (homes):

  • 20 ounces (weight) sweet cherries, frozen (about 2 1/4 cups thawed)
  • 16 ounces (weight) vanilla yogurt (must have 12 grams or less total sugar in 6 ounces yogurt)

Ingredients (centers):

  • 40 ounces (weight) sweet cherries, frozen (about 4 1/3 cups thawed)
  • 32 ounces (weight) vanilla yogurt (must have 12 grams or less total sugar in 6 ounces yogurt)

Directions:

  1. Puree cherries and yogurt in a blender or food processor.
  2. Divide into popsicle molds (or 6 oz. cups + popsicle sticks).
  3. Freeze.
  4. Tip: Serve with additional fruit for a full serving.

Serve:

1 pop = 1/2 oz. eq. meat alternate (1/4 cup yogurt) + 1/4 cup fruit at snack.
Ages 1-5: Serve 1 pop + 1/4 cup additional fruit to meet serving sizes at snack.
Ages 6+: Serve 2 pops + 1/4 cup additional fruit to meet serving sizes at snack.
